2D6

It's been about 10 years since I started playing RPGs with a group of my college friends on Sunday nights. It has been a great way to keep in touch (and frankly become better friends) with everyone in the group.

We haven't been playing the same campaign this whole time, and we haven't had the same DM, it's been a lot of fun to change things up after a while.

In the last few years we have been playing different versions of a game engine called Powered By The Apocolypse, it's a pretty straight forward system that relies almost
entirely on rolling two 6 sided dice.

Need to charm your way into a castle to steal an amulet? Roll a 2d6. Need to attack the midwestern houswife who is summoning a demon with her covin? Roll a 2d6. Need to dodge our of the way of a giant inter dimensional tentacle monster? Roll a 2d6.

The mechanics of the game engine make it really easy to stuff with your characters and so we can spend more time on the narrative and the interpersonal relationships between a of our characters.

If you have never played any of the PBTO games, I would highly suggest checking them out. We've played Monster of the week, Dungeon world, and a couple of the other smaller versions.
